Your spreadsheet data, queries, and personal information are never sold to anyone -- period.
Only sheets you connect
We only access Google Sheets that you explicitly connect to SheetBoy. We never access any other files in your Google account.
Delete anytime
Request account deletion at any time. All your data is permanently removed from our systems within 24 hours.
What We Collect
We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide and improve SheetBoy. Here is a transparent breakdown:
Google account information
Your name, email address, and profile picture -- used solely for authentication and displaying your account.
Spreadsheet data you connect
The data from Google Sheets you explicitly connect to SheetBoy. This is used exclusively for analysis and answering your queries.
Query history
The questions you ask about your data. We store these to improve suggestions, cache answers for faster responses, and show your history.
Usage metrics
Anonymous, aggregated usage data (such as feature usage counts and performance metrics) to help us improve the product. This data cannot be traced back to you.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
Answer your natural language queries about your data
Pre-compute common Q&A pairs for faster response times
Show you suggested questions based on the structure and content of your data
We NEVER use your data to:
Train AI models -- your data is not used to train, fine-tune, or improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning models
Share with third parties -- your data is never shared, sold, or disclosed to any external entity for any purpose
AI & Data Processing
SheetBoy uses artificial intelligence to understand and answer your questions. Here is exactly how your data interacts with AI systems:
Claude AI (Anthropic)
We use Claude AI by Anthropic to process your natural language queries and generate analytical results. Your data is sent to Claude only when you actively ask a question. Claude does not retain, store, or learn from your data after processing.
OpenAI Whisper (Voice Transcription)
If you use the voice query feature, your audio is transcribed using OpenAI Whisper. The audio is processed in real-time and is not stored after transcription. Only the resulting text is retained as part of your query history.
Key guarantee
Neither Claude nor Whisper retains or learns from your data. Your information is used transiently to process your request and is then discarded by the AI provider.
Data Storage & Security
We take the security of your data seriously and employ industry-standard protections at every layer.
Encryption at Rest
All data stored in our databases is encrypted using AES-256 encryption, the same standard used by banks and government agencies.
Encryption in Transit
All communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3, ensuring your data cannot be intercepted.
Infrastructure
Hosted on Supabase, which runs on AWS infrastructure, providing enterprise-grade reliability, redundancy, and compliance.
Authentication Security
Session cookies are encrypted and HTTP-only, preventing XSS attacks. Google OAuth tokens are stored securely on the server and never exposed to the frontend.
Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services. Here are the retention periods by plan:

Your Rights
You have full control over your data at all times. Here are the rights you can exercise:
Download your data
Export all your data including query history, connected sheets, and account information at any time.
Delete your account
Request complete account deletion. All associated data, including cached queries and connected sheet data, is permanently removed within 24 hours.
Disconnect sheets
Disconnect any Google Sheet at any time. When disconnected, all cached data for that sheet is immediately removed.
Revoke Google access
Revoke SheetBoy's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings.
